This Member Spotlight we decided to highlight student Albert Corona. When Albert started training at F5 he took our Muay Thai and Fighter Fit classes religiously 3-4 days per week to help him with his goal of losing some extra weight. After meeting that goal he has since switched over to taking our Barbell and Kettlebell Strength and Conditioning classes three days a week. Albert is a hard worker, quiet yet thoughtful in his training and very consistent. He’s made some great strength gains since starting our S&C classes and we are happy to have him as part of the F5 family – (Thanks, Christy!)

Name: Albert Corona

How long have you been training?

I have been training at F5 for a year and a half now. I have been training since high school but didn’t take it seriously until college. So that’s 20 years. Thanks for reminding me how old I am!

Where are you from?

I am from a small town in the Inland Empire named Rialto. It’s about an hour east drive from F5. I call Miracle Mile home now.


I am a Graphic Designer. I focus on the online side of things so I am a push pixles for a living.


Why did you start training at F5?

photo-2-e1437585570539-203x300I started going to F5 because my co worker, Christy Matsumoto, kept badgering for me to join. So after a couple months of her badgering I decided to give it a try. After a couple of weeks I felt right at home.

What goals have you accomplished?

My only goal was to lose some weight. Muay thai was a great way to do that.

What keeps you coming back?

The people are the reason I keep going back. All the trainers are super friendly and always there to help you. They have taught me a great deal and are always there to answer my questions. They are great motivators and want everyone to succeed. You guys always challenge us and find new ways to kick our butts, but make it fun. No one is ever negative and to me that is a great thing about F5.


Favorite movie?

That’s a tough one because I don’t have just one. So many good movies out there. For the sake of this I will narrow it down to a movie that I will never change the channel on if it happens to be on T.V. Dumb and Dumber
